Marin Andrei
Marin Andrei (born 22 October 1940) is a Romanian former footballer. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Career Club career Marin Andrei started his senior career playing for Metalul Târgoviște in Divizia B and after two seasons he managed to promote to Divizia A, a competition where he made his debut on 20 August 1961 in a 3–1 victory against UTA Arad. After one Divizia A season with Metalul he went to play together with coach Valentin Stănescu at Rapid București. Andrei was an important player in the first three seasons spent with '' Giuleștenii'' as the team managed to be runner-up in all three years, also in the 1964–65 Divizia A season he set a competition record for goalkeepers of 770 minutes without receiving a goal. In the 1966–67 Divizia A season he helped Rapid win the first title in the club's history, playing only three games, as the team's first choice for the goalkeeper position was Rică Răducanu. Târgoviște
Târgoviște (, alternatively spelled ''Tîrgoviște''; german: Tergowisch) is a city and county seat in Dâmbovița County, Romania. It is situated north-west of Bucharest, on the right bank of the Ialomița River. Valentin Stănescu
Valentin Stănescu (20 November 1922 – 4 April 1994) was a Romanian football goalkeeper and manager. Club career Valentin Stănescu also known as "Tinel" or "Zimbrul" ( The bison) was born on 20 November 1922 in București, Romania and started playing junior level football at age 11 in 1933 at local club Olimpia. In 1942 he went to play for Malaxa Tohan for a short while, afterwards moving at Sportul Studențesc București for three years. He made his Divizia A debut playing for Carmen București under coach Petre Steinbach on 16 March 1947 in a 3–2 away victory against Dermagarand Târgu Mureș. Ilie Oană
Ilie Oană (16 August 1918 – 27 April 1993) was a football player and manager who represented and coached the Romania national football team. Career Oană was born in Indiana Harbor to Romanian parents who emigrated from Transylvania before the outbreak of World War I. In 1921, his parents moved back to their homeland, settling in Sibiu after the 1918 Union of Transylvania with Romania. Oană began his football career with local side Șoimii Sibiu. He joined Petrolul Ploiești in 1937. Because he was born in the United States, he was nicknamed "Americanul" ''(The American)''. Oană made two appearances for Romania, making his debut in a friendly which ended 2–2 against Hungary in October 1939. He also played in a 0–0 against Poland at the 1948 Balkan Cup. Club Universitario de Deportes, popularly known as Universitario or simply as La "U", is a Peruvian football club located in Lima. Mircea Constantinescu (born 25 February 1945) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Politehnica Iași, Dinamo București and SC Bacău. Club career Mircea Constantinescu was born on 25 February 1945 in Crăiești, Romania, and made his Divizia A debut on 20 October 1963, playing for Politehnica Iași in a 5–3 away loss against Progresul București. The Cupa României ( en, Romanian Cup) is a Association football, football cup competition for List of football clubs in Romania, Romanian teams which has been held annually since 1933–34 Cupa României, 1933–34, except during World War II. Carol Haidu (3 June 1942 – 11 July 2022) was a Romanian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Carol Haidu was born on 3 June 1942 in Râșnov, Romania under the name of Karol Haydu, but the communist authorities made him change it to Carol Haidu, in order to "sound more Romanian". He started to play junior level football in 1958 at Luceafarul Brașov, afterwards moving at Steagul Roșu Brașov where he made his Divizia A debut on 1 April 1962 under coach Silviu Ploeșteanu in a 3–1 away loss against Dinamo Pitești.
