Marija Banušić
Marija Maredinho Banušić (born 17 September 1995) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Italian Serie A club Parma. She previously played for Linköpings FC, Eskilstuna United DFF and Kristianstads DFF of the Damallsvenskan, spent a season in England with FA WSL club Chelsea, a season in China with Beijing BG Phoenix and two seasons in France with Montpellier before spending half a season with AS Roma in 2021 and a subsequent year with Pomigliano. She won her first cap for the Sweden women's national team in November 2014. She has previously worn the name Maredinho on her shirt, originally a nickname her father had given her in homage to male footballer Ronaldinho, which she later adopted as her middle name. Damallsvenskan
The Damallsvenskan, Swedish for ''ladies all-Swedish'' and also known as OBOS Damallsvenskan for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in Sweden. It is also referred to as the women's Allsvenskan. The term Allsvenskan alone is used to reference the men's division. The division consists of a league of 14 teams. From 2013, the Damallsvenskan began operating on a system of promotion and relegation with the Elitettan. The two lowest placed teams are relegated to the Elitettan, and the two highest placed teams from the Elitettan are promoted in their place. Starting with the 2022 season the league has been expanded from 12 to 14 teams. The first Swedish women's national championship was played in 1973. Elísabet Gunnarsdóttir (born 2 October 1976) is an Icelandic football coach and former player, currently in charge of Swedish Damallsvenskan club Kristianstads DFF. Elísabet was the head coach of the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild kvenna team Valur from 2003 to 2008; during which her team won four league titles and one cup title. Elísabet became head coach of Kristianstads DFF in the Swedish women's football league, Damallsvenskan, in January 2009. Anna Lenita Josefine Öqvist (born 23 July 1983) is a Swedish former footballer who played for Montpellier of the French Division 1 Féminine and the Swedish national team. She scored a critical goal at the 86' minute in the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup semifinals against Canada to put Sweden through to the final. Nicknamed Jossan, she was named the Swedish Rookie of the Year in 2003. While her primary position is a forward, she was named as a midfielder for the 2008 Summer Olympics. In professional football, a transfer is the action taken whenever a player under contract moves between clubs. It refers to the transferring of a player's registration from one association football club to another. In general, the players can only be transferred during a transfer window and according to the rules set by a governing body (fulfilling the requirements of FIFA, continental and national bodies regulating the purchasing and selling clubs). In various cultures, a middle name is a portion of a personal name that is written between the person's first given name and their surname.
