Marie-Luise Dött
Marie-Luise Dött ( Duhn, born 20 April 1953 in Nordhorn) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who served as a member of the Bundestag from 1998 to 2021. Early life and work After graduating from high school, Dött completed an apprenticeship as a retail saleswoman in Würzburg. She then trained as a gemologist and diamond expert in Idar-Oberstein. She was co-owner of a jewelry shop with a goldsmith's and watchmaker's workshop in Höxter. Dött is married and has one son. Political career Career in local and state politics Dött joined the CDU in 1984 and is mainly active in the CDU's Mittelstands-und Wirtschaftsvereinigung (MIT). Bundestag
The Bundestag (, "Federal Diet") is the German federal parliament. It is the only federal representative body that is directly elected by the German people. 2013 German Federal Election
Federal elections were held on 22 September to elect the members of the 18th Bundestag of Germany. At stake were all 598 seats to the Bundestag, plus 33 overhang seats determined thereafter. The Christian Democratic Union of Germany/ Christian Social Union of Bavaria (CDU/CSU) of incumbent chancellor Angela Merkel won their best result since 1990 with nearly 42% of the vote and nearly 50% of the seats, just five short for an overall majority. The Free Democratic Party (FDP) failed to meet the 5% vote electoral threshold in what was their worst showing ever in a federal election, denying them seats in the Bundestag for the first time in their history. The ''Financial Times Deutschland'' was a German-language financial newspaper based in Hamburg, Germany, published by Bertelsmann's Gruner + Jahr newspaper and magazine division. (literally ''good human'' in German) is an ironic, sarcastic or disparaging cultural term similar to the English '' do-gooder''. Those who use the term are implying that ''Gutmenschen'' have an overwhelming wish to be good and eagerly seek approval—further suggesting a supposed moralising and proselytising behaviour and being dogmatic, while prioritizing "right" and "correct" attitude or sentiment (Ultimate end, ethics of moral conviction) over responsible, balanced, rational and reflected decisions (ethics of responsibility). Barbara Anne Hendricks (born 29 April 1952) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who served as Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel from 2013 until 2018.
