The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour (known between 2003 and 2012 as the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour for sponsorship reasons) was the worldwide professional beach volleyball tour for both men and women organized by the ' ( FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The World Tour was introduced 1989 for men and in 1992 for women being held yearly since then until 2021. Several tournaments were staged throughout the year. Ricardo Alex Costa Santos (born January 6, 1975 in Salvador da Bahia) is a beach volleyball player from Brazil. Santos won the silver medal in the men's beach volleyball competition at the 2000 Summer Olympics with partner Zé Marco de Melo. Santos also represented his native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.
