Mariana Sadovska
Mariana Sadovska (born 1972, Lviv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian actress, singer, musician, recording artist, and composer, resident in Cologne. Biography Sadovska began her work with Les Kurbas Theater (Lviv, Ukraine) at Anatole Vasiliev's Festivals in St. Petersburg and Moscow. There, she was tapped for the Slavic Pilgrim Project by Jerzy Grotowski in Pontedera, Italy. Later that year, she was invited to join Theater Gardzienice where she worked for 10 years as an actor and music director. During her tenure with Gardzienice, she conducted ethnomusicological expeditions to Ukraine, Ireland, Egypt, Cuba and Brazil. She has since organized many cultural exchanges between contemporary artists from Europe and the United States with the traditional singers of Ukraine. The Knitting Factory is a nightclub in New York City that features eclectic music and entertainment. After opening in 1987, various other locations were opened in the United States. The Knitting Factory gave its audience poetry readings, performance art, standup comedy, and musicians who transcended the usual boundaries of rock and jazz, often experimental music. Musical career Victor Morozov was born on June 15, 1950, in Kremenets, a city in western Ukraine). Ganna Gryniva
Ganna Gryniva (born 4 July 1989) is a Ukrainian jazz singer and composer working in Berlin. She was raised in Ukraine and Germany. Her songs are in English or Ukrainian. Life Gryniva was born in Krasnoyarsk, before she was one year old she moved to Ukraine where her paternal grandparents lived. Her mother is a pianist and her father is a German philologist and painter. She was home schooled until she moved to Germany with her family as a 13-year-old. In Germany she attended high school in Bernburg. She graduated with a degree in philosophy from the University of Leipzig before studying singing at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar in Weimar with the German singer Michael Schiefel, trumpeter and Frank Mobus. Exit Art
Exit Art was a non-profit cultural center that ran from 1982 to 2012 that exhibited contemporary visual art, installation, video, theater, and performance in New York City, United States. In its last location in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, it was a two-story gallery. Jeanette Ingberman and Papo Colo founded Exit Art as an alternative exhibition space. Beginning with its first show, “Illegal America,” and continuing through to 2012, the gallery focused on representing the underdog, dedicating shows to the exploration of ideas and people outside the political, social, sexual, and aesthetic mainstreams.
