Mariana Ingold (born 1958) is a composer, instrumentalist, singer and teacher belonging to the movement of Uruguayan music, Mariana has been active as an artist since 1977 in Uruguay and internationally. Mariana has recorded dozens of records of songs, music for children and instrumental music. She has composed music for theater presentations as well as for many educational videos of Uruguay, Brazil, the United States and Spain, receiving various prizes in recognition of her work. Well known in her country for her involvement with environmental organizations, Mariana has the honor to be the godmother of OCC (Organization of Conservation of the cetacea(whales and dolphins) of the South Atlantic and the Río de la Plata, River de la Plata). She has made a recording of her children songs ("El Planeta Sonoro"), for the benefit of Aldeas Infantiles SOS, the international orphans' organization. Ángel Eduardo Mateo López (September 19→, 1940 – May 16, 1990) was a Uruguayan singer, songwriter, guitarist, and arranger. He played an important role in the development of modern Uruguayan music that combines beat, jazz, bossa nova and local rhythms like candombe in a way similar to Brazilian Tropicalismo. David Alan Samuels (October 9, 1948 – April 22, 2019) was an American vibraphone and marimba player who spent many years with the contemporary jazz group Spyro Gyra. His recordings and live performances during that period also reflect his prowess on the steelpan, a tuned percussion instrument of Trinidadian origin. Biography Samuels was born in Waukegan, Illinois, United States. At the age of six he started playing drums and piano. He learned vibes and marimba while a student at Boston University. He continued his studies at the Berklee College of Music, also in Boston, and studied with vibraphonist Gary Burton. He taught percussion at Berklee before moving to New York City in 1974. Alcione Dias Nazareth (born November 21, 1947) is also known as, "Alcione", and "A Marrom" (English: "the brown one") is a Brazilian samba singer. She first gained international recognition in the late 1970 and has had nineteen gold records, as well as five platinum and double platinum records. Leny de Andrade Lima, known professionally as Leny Andrade, was born in Rio de Janeiro, on January 26, 1943, and is a Brazilian singer and musician.
