Maria Wolfram
Maria Wolfram (born 1961) is a Finnish visual artist. She is known for creating art that is viewed through the female perspective. Education and career Wolfram enrolled at art school Vapaa Taidekoulu to study painting. She attended Berkshire College of Art and Design in the UK and obtained a foundation diploma in art. Wolfram earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Kingston University. She obtained her master's from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Wolfram began exhibiting in 1998. Since then, she has participated in many art fairs and festivals around the world. Wolfram has held solo exhibitions outside Finland, namely in Japan, Belgium, Sweden etc. She had worked as an artist-in-residence at the Finnish Institute in Athens, among others. Wolfram began tutoring art under vocational and technical school, Axxell City, in 2011. She held governing positions in several Finnish art organizations. Berkshire College Of Art And Design
Reading College is a further education college based in Reading, Berkshire, England. It has over 8,500 local learners on over 900 courses. The Kings Road site that is the principal location of Reading College has been used for further education since 1955, when the Reading Technical College was opened. This was renamed the Reading College of Technology in 1967 and the Reading College of Arts and Technology during the 1970s. Thanks to a merger with the Berkshire College of Art and Design (in Maidenhead), it became the Reading College and School of Arts and Design in 1997. Föreningen Konstsamfundet (lit. "The Art Foundation Association") is a Finland, Finnish association with the goal of supporting the culture of the Swedish-speaking population of Finland, Swedish-speaking minority of Finland. It was founded in 1940 by ''vuorineuvos'' Amos Anderson, a newspaper publisher and a patron of the arts who bequeathed his entire fortune to Konstsamfundet. Svenska kulturfonden, or officially Stiftelsen för utbildning och kultur på svenska i Finland sr., is a Finnish foundation founded to promote Swedish language, Swedish-speaking culture in Finland and education. The core mission of the foundation is to promote Finland as a bilingual country by contributing financial aid to things such as arts and non-profit organisations that in turn promote the Swedish-speaking culture and Swedish language in Finland. Mikaela Nylander has been the chairperson of the foundation since February 2020. Personal Structures
Personal Structures is an international contemporary art platform, which generates the possibility for artists and art historians to discuss philosophical concepts in art. Personal Structures was initiated in 2003 by the artist Rene Rietmeyer. At first, the platform took shape in the form of exhibitions. Later on, in 2005, symposia were added as means for expressing thought. The first Personal Structures symposium was held at the branch of Ludwig Museum in Koblenz, Germany. Personal Structures developed in the years after. In 2007 and 2008 a symposium series was organised about the concepts time, space and existence.
