Maria Aleksandrovna Kozhevnikova (russian: Мари́я Алекса́ндровна Коже́вникова; born November 14, 1984) is a Russian actress and a politician. Kozhevnikova was voted the hottest woman in Russia in November 2011. She was a Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation (2011–2016). Early life and career Kozhevnikova was born at November 14, 1984 in the family of a Soviet hockey player, two-time Olympic champion, Merited Master of Sports Alexander Kozhevnikov and English teacher Margarita Kozhevnikova. Kozhevnikova's grandfather, Major General, participant of the Great Patriotic War Valentin Nikolaevich Trofimov (1923-2013). Kozhevnikova has a brother and a sister. Kozhevnikova is the "Master of Sports" in rhythmic gymnastics, champion of Moscow. Graduated from the RATI-GITIS in 2006. ''Univer'' (russian: Универ) is a Russian sitcom which aired on TNT about the life of students living in a dormitory block in Moscow. The show aired from 2008 to 2011, having a total of 5 seasons and 255 episodes. The show triggered two spin-offs: '' Univer. New Dorm'' (started in 2011) and ''SashaTanya'' (started in 2013). Plot Son of an oligarch Sylvester Sergeev, Sasha, escaped from a university in England, where he studied finance, and enrolled in the Astronomy Department of the Physics Faculty of MVGU, a university in Moscow. Sobibor (film)
''Sobibor'' (russian: Собибор) is a 2018 Russian war drama film co-written, directed by and starring Konstantin Khabensky. The picture also stars Christopher Lambert and was released on 3 May 2018 in Russia. It was selected as the Russian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. It received generally positive reviews from critics. Plot The film is based on the Sobibor revolt which occurred in 1943 in German-occupied Poland. The main character of the movie is the Jewish-Soviet soldier Alexander Pechersky, who was a lieutenant in the Red Army. In October 1943, he was deported to the Sobibor death camp, where Jews were being exterminated in gas chambers. In just three weeks, Pechersky planned an uprising with prisoners from Poland and other locations around Western Europe.
