Marco Sfogli
Marco Sfogli (born April 4, 1980) is an Italian heavy metal and rock guitarist. He's the guitar player for James LaBrie, PFM and Icefish. He appeared on several albums. History Born in 1980, his first attempt with music came in 1984 when he played with his parents (both musicians) in Schwetzingen, Germany during an encore. In 1989 when he received his first Washburn electric guitar as a gift. He started to play along with his heroes (Michael Jackson, Van Halen, Europe). In 1992 he left the guitar to study the drums: "''Being a drummer first and a guitarist second, helped me a lot in terms of creativity and rhythmic knowledge." ''Impermanent Resonance'' is the third solo album and fifth solo project by Canadian singer James LaBrie. It was released on July 29, 2013, in Europe and on August 6, 2013, in North America. The album carries on the melodic death metal style first featured on the album '' Static Impulse'', and once again features screaming vocals by drummer Peter Wildoer. ''Impermanent Resonance'' was released to generally positive reviews and reception from critics and fans. Release The cover art and release date were revealed on June 4, 2013. The first single, "Agony", was released on June 19, 2013. The European digipak edition features an alternative artwork. Two limited 180 gr. vinyl editions were also released: a black version and a white version. ''Elements of Persuasion'', released March 29, 2005, is Dream Theater singer James LaBrie's first solo album under his name, and third solo project, his first two being '' Keep It to Yourself'' and '' MullMuzzler 2'', which were released under his band MullMuzzler. LaBrie hired new musicians, including guitarist Marco Sfogli from Italy and Richard Chycki as sound engineer. Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
