Marcel Gleffe
Marcel Gleffe (born 1979 in Teterow, Germany) is a German living in Norway who saved the lives of several people during the massacre on the island of Utøya. He became known in Germany as the "Saviour of Utøya" (''Retter von Utøya''). He was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Early life From March 1999 to July 2000, Gleffe was a conscript, serving in the air defences of the German army. He extended his military service to take part in a deployment to Kosovo. He left the ''Bundeswehr'' as a '' Hauptgefreiter der Reserve.'' He has lived in Siggerud, Norway, since 2008. Utøya massacre On 22 July 2011, during the attack on the island of Utøya, he saved lives by departing the pier at Utvika (when he heard shots being fired at Utøya) with his motor boat (for 6 people, model "Pioner 15"), and throwing life vests to fleeing swimmers while heading for Utøya, and picking up refugees of the massacre. Teterow
Teterow () is a town of Germany, in the district of Rostock, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is the geographical center of this federal state. It had a population of 8,852 in 2011. History The ''Stadtkirche St. Peter und Paul'' (St. Peter and St. Paul's Church), was built in 1215 in Late Romanesque and Gothic style. There are two remaining gates of the ancient city wall: the 14th-century ''Malchiner Tor'' (today the seat of the museum of local history), and the ''Rostocker Tor''. Synnøve Kvamme
Saint Sunniva (10th century; Old Norse ''Sunnifa'', from Old English ''Sunngifu'') is the patron saint of the Norwegian Church of Norway Diocese of Bjørgvin, as well as all of Western Norway. Sunniva was venerated alongside her brother Alban, who in Norwegian tradition was identified with Saint Alban, the Roman-era British saint. Legend ''Acta sanctorum in Selio'' is a Latin hagiography of saints Alban and Sunniva and their companions. It is believed to have been composed shortly after 1170. Oddr Snorrason made use of it in his ''Óláfs saga Tryggvasonar'', in a section known as ''Albani þáttr ok Sunnifu'' ("tale of Alban and Sunniva") and also as ''Seljumanna þáttr''. Oddr's original work was composed in Latin but only survives in an Old Icelandic translation. The legend was also included in the later compilation ''Óláfs saga Tryggvasonar en mesta''. The Workers' Youth League ( nb, Arbeidernes ungdomsfylking, nn, Arbeidarane si ungdomsfylking, or AUF) is Norway's largest political youth organization and is affiliated with the Norwegian Labour Party. Prableen Kaur (born 20 March 1993) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She is from Romsås and of Punjabi descent. She was elected as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Oslo in 2013.
