Marcel Anselme
Marcel Anselme (1925–1982) was a French painter and engraver, and held the position of official portrait painter for Archbishop Makarios of Cyprus for several years. In 1948, he met Léon Garraud, a master of the Lyon School and attended his workshop. In 1962, Anselm met Nicos Dikheos, Consul of Cyprus in Lyon. The diplomat was struck by the talent of the young painter and introduced him to Archbishop Makarios, President of the Republic of Cyprus. Bourgoin
Bourgoin-Jallieu (; frp, Brégon) is a commune in the Isère department in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France. The city had 28,834 inhabitants in 2019 and lies 35 kilometres east-southeast of Lyon. It was formed by the merger of the former communes Bourgoin and Jallieu in 1965.
