Maratona Di Sant'Antonio
The Maratona di Sant'Antonio (also known as the ''Maratona S. Antonio'' and ''Padua Marathon'') is an annual road running competition which takes place in April in Padua, Italy. The event features a full marathon race (42.195 km), a half marathon, and a range of shorter fun run events for amateurs. The competition is named in honour of Anthony of Padua, a 13th-century saint who died in the city. History The first marathon held in the area was the Vedelago Marathon, which was a national level race organised by the Gruppo Atletica Vedelago between 1988 and 1999. Another group, Assindustria Sport Padova, took over management of the marathon in 2000 and the race became an international one. Its route was also changed, with the start point remaining in the comune of Vedelago and the finish point being moved to Padua. Prato della Valle (''Prà deła Vałe'' in Venetian) is a 90,000-square-meter elliptical square in Padova, Italy. It is the largest square in Italy, Lionello Puppi, Giuseppe Toffanin. Guida di Padova. Giorgio Calcaterra (born 11 February 1972 in Rome) is an Italian ultramarathoner, three times world champion of the 100 km. He is the most successful athlete at the IAU 100 km European Championships, being a three-time winner and also a silver and bronze medallist from 2008 to 2015. In 2000 he ran 20 marathons under 2 hours and 20 minutes. He was the world leader of the 100 km top lists from 2008 to 2012. In 2003 he won the Helsinki City Marathon and in 2005 he won the Utrecht Marathon. He is three time Italy winner of the Wings for Life World Run. In 2016 he was world winner of this race. Monica Casiraghi
Monica Casiraghi is an Italian ultrarunner from Missaglia, who won the IAU 100 km World Championships in 2003 after finishing third in 2001 and 2002. She is also the Italian world record holder for a 24-hour race, during which she covered 231 km in the 2010 World Championships in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Brive, France. She ran her first ultramarathon in 1997. In 2006 and 2007 she was European Champion for the 100 km races.
