Marale
Marale is a municipality in the department of Francisco Morazán, Honduras. Location Marale is bordered on the north by the municipality of Yoro, south by the municipalities of El Porvenir and San Ignacio, to the east by the municipalities of Mangulile, Yocón and Orica, and west by the municipalities of Sulaco, Yorito and San José del Potrero. It is surrounded by several ranges of hills, known as El Portillo, La Loma de la Cruz and Mud Loma. History Marale was founded in 1820, and in 1889 became one of the municipalities of the Cedros District. Honduras
Honduras, officially the Republic of Honduras, is a country in Central America. Yoro
Yoro, with a population of 25,560 (2020 calculation), is the capital city of the Yoro Department of Honduras and the municipal seat of Yoro Municipality. It is notable for a local event known as Lluvia de Peces, where it is claimed that strong storms make fish fall from the sky. Mangulile
Mangulile is a municipality in the north west of the Honduran department of Olancho, north of Yocón, south west of Manto and south east of Salamá. Agriculture is the base of almost all commerce. Corn, beans, and coffee are the main cash crops, the sale of which provides income for other things like sugar and rice. Many of the remote villages have no access to education, healthcare, or clean water. Artesian springs provide most of the domestic water, which, because of the tropical climate, becomes contaminated soon after surfacing. Biosand water filters have been introduced to over 25 of these villages as of 2015, significantly improving health conditions. Part of the local 2015 coffee harvest was exported to the USA through a newly formed co-op, with 100% of the profits being returned to this area for infrastructure and capital for crop expansion.
