Mao Mengsuo
Mao Mengsuo (, 15 June 1989 – 12 June 2010) was a Chinese professional footballer who played as a winger. Club career Mao had only one appearance in the first season of his professional football career. He appeared in a 2008–09 Hong Kong FA Cup match, which saw NTR WF Tai Po defeating Tuen Mun Progoal by 3 goals. Mao did not appear in the next season. He was back on the field in the 2009–10 season, when he was a start-up player in five matches. Hong Kong FA Cup () is a knockout cup competition in Hong Kong football, run by and named after The Hong Kong Football Association. The first edition of the competition was held in 1975, before then the cup was known as the Golden Jubilee Cup. The current season is the 45th edition of the event. 14 different teams have won the cup with 10-time champions South China being the most successful. In the first three years, the semi-finals and the finals were two-legged events. If the aggregate result was drawn, there would be extra time after the second leg. The Hong Kong Football Association Limited (), often abbreviated to the HKFA, is the governing body of association football in Hong Kong. Its current chairman is Pui Kwan Kay and its Chief Executive Officer is Joaquin Tam. History The HKFA was established in 1914.
