Manta F.C.
Manta was founded in 1998 after the purchase of the franchise rights from the defunct Manta Sport. From 1999–2001, the club competed in the Segunda Categoría, the third tier of Ecuadorian football league system before being promoted in 2002 to Serie. Manta won promotion again in 2003 to Serie A for the first time but finished poorly and were relegated back to Serie B where they would spend the next 6 seasons. 2009 saw the club back in Serie A but no titles were forthcoming and they were relegated again in 2014. They got promoted back to the Ecuadorian Serie A in 2020 and will play in the first tier after a 7 year absence. Estadio Jocay
The Estadio Municipal Jocay is a multi-use stadium in Manta, Ecuador. Vinicio Angulo
Vinicio Angulo (born July 26, 1988) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays for D' León in the Ecuadorian Serie B as a forward. Club career Vinicio came out as a professional at Barcelona SC. The new head coach of Barcelona SC Benito Floro request Angulo's presence for the motivated project called La Renovacion. On February 7, 2010 Angulo came as a substitution to replace Luis Miguel Garcés because of injury, he scored his first goal in the majors against Universidad Catolica. In 2012 the player was transferred to Independiente José Terán of Sangolqui where he scored several goals and had a good performance but because of his lack of discipline was released from the team and began to training with CS North America of Guayaquil in the Ecuadorian 3rd division.
