Mansions EP
''Mansions EP'' is the second release from the band Mansions, released by Doghouse Records in 2008. The EP was intended as a teaser for the full-length album, '' New Best Friends'', as it contains two tracks from the album, as well as two b-sides. The physical edition of the EP contains enhanced content, including acoustic versions of "Not The First Time" and "The Worst Part", and a video of a Q&A with lead vocalist Christopher Browder. The EP was produced, engineered, and mixed by Mike Sapone, known for his work with Taking Back Sunday and Brand New. Mansions is an American indie rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, currently residing in Seattle, Washington. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". ''New Best Friends'' is the official debut album by Mansions. The album was produced, recorded and mixed by Mike Sapone ( Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Straylight Run). The physical copy of the album includes a bonus-disc known as "The EP Initiative", a compilation album containing tracks from seven different EP's released throughout 2008 through very limited formats. Taking Back Sunday is an American rock band from Long Island, New York. The band was formed by guitarist Eddie Reyes and bassist Jesse Lacey in 1999. The band's members currently are Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals), Shaun Cooper (bass guitar) and Mark O'Connell (drums), accompanied by Nathan Cogan (guitar) for their live performances. Brand New was an American rock band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2000, the band consisted of Jesse Lacey (vocals, guitar), Vincent Accardi (guitar, vocals), Garrett Tierney (bass guitar, vocals) and Brian Lane (drums, percussion); they were joined by Benjamin Homola (percussion) for their live performances. From 2005 to 2013, the band also included Derrick Sherman (guitar, backing vocals, keyboards). Joseph Arthur (born September 28, 1971) is an American singer-songwriter and artist from Akron, Ohio. He is best known for his solo material, and as a member of Fistful of Mercy and RNDM. Arthur has built his reputation over the years through critically acclaimed releases and constant touring; his unique solo live performances often incorporate the use of a number of distortion and loop pedals, and his shows are recorded live at the soundboard and made available to concertgoers immediately following the show on recordable media.
