Brand New (band)
Brand New was an American rock band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2000, the band consisted of Jesse Lacey (vocals, guitar), Vincent Accardi (guitar, vocals), Garrett Tierney (bass guitar, vocals) and Brian Lane (drums, percussion); they were joined by Benjamin Homola (percussion) for their live performances. From 2005 to 2013, the band also included Derrick Sherman (guitar, backing vocals, keyboards). The band is recognized as one of the most influential within the 2000s emo scene, celebrated for making artistic statements with their music. Lacey, Tierney and Lane all played in the band the Rookie Lot, from Levittown, New York. Lacey was also the founding bassist for Taking Back Sunday before leaving. Sainthood Reps is an American indie rock band from Long Island, New York, formed in 2009. Their debut album, ''Monoculture'', was released on Tooth & Nail Records in the summer of 2011 and was produced by Mike Sapone. The band released their second album, ''Headswell'', in October 2013 through No Sleep Records. History Origins (2009-2010) The band was co-founded by lead vocalist/guitarist Francesco Montesanto and Brand New touring guitarist Derrick Sherman, who had grown up together in Long Island, developing similar musical tastes and periodically playing music together when not touring with other bands they were in. The beginnings of Sainthood Reps came when Montesanto sent Sherman a collection of demos he had written, ultimately leading to a musical collaboration. Straylight Run is an emo band based in Baldwin, Nassau County, New York. The band released two albums, ''Straylight Run'' and '' The Needles the Space'', as well as three EPs, ''Prepare to Be Wrong'', ''About Time'', and ''Un Mas Dos''. The Xcerts
The Xcerts are a British alternative rock band, originally formed in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2001. They have released four studio albums, with their latest being '' Hold On To Your Heart'' (2018). Biography The Xcerts were originally formed by 13-year-olds Murray Macleod and Jordan Smith after meeting in the headmasters room at Robert Gordon's College in Aberdeen. When school friend Ross McTaggart joined on drums, The Xcerts went on to record two EPs at the local recording studio Captain Tom's. In order to progress, the band moved to Brighton, England in 2006, where Macleod went to college with future Architects vocalist, Sam Carter, and would later become roommates with Architects bassist Alex Dean.
