Manly United FC
Manly United Football Club is an Australian association football, football club based in the northern beaches area of Sydney. The club competes in the National Premier Leagues NSW and their home ground is Cromer Park, in the suburb of Dee Why, New South Wales, Dee Why, approximately 15 minutes away from Manly. Its main grandstand is named after former Australia national association football team, Socceroo captain Lucas Neill, who played for the club as a junior before playing overseas at Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United. Manly United Football Club Ltd. was officially formed in 2004 by the Manly Warringah Soccer Association. However, there have been many representative teams competing for the association prior to this date. Cromer Park
Cromer Park is a community football (soccer) ground located in the Northern Beaches suburb of Cromer in Sydney. It is home to Manly United FC and Manly Warringah Football Association. 2004–05 NSW Premier League Season
The 2004–05 NSW Premier League season was the fourth season of the revamped NSW Premier League. Throughout the season many Premier League, NSW Super League, Super League, NSW State League Division One, Division One and NSW State League Division Two, Division Two teams competed in a newly formed FA Cup-style knockout competition called the Waratah Cup, Statewide Cup in which the Sydney United 58 FC, Sydney United were crowned champions after defeating Belconnen Blue Devils in 3–1 at Parramatta Stadium. Changes from Previous Season The number of teams increased from 12 to 16, with the inclusion of former National Soccer League teams following the abolishment of that league in favour of the restructured A-League. The competition consisted of four divisions across the State of New South Wales. 2013 Waratah Cup
The 2013 Waratah Cup was the 11th season of the Waratah Cup knockout competition, the main domestic cup competition in New South Wales. The defending champions were National Premier Leagues NSW side Sutherland Sharks, who beat APIA Leichhardt Tigers 4–1 in the 2012 final. It was the second time Sutherland had won the title in their history. They entered the competition in Round 4 alongside all National Premier Leagues NSW teams, advancing all the way to the Grand Final and an eventual loss to APIA Leichhardt Tigers. A record 97 teams entered the competition. The 2013 champions were APIA Leichhardt Tigers – their fourth title (including predecessor knockout cup competitions) – who beat Sutherland Sharks in the Cup final at Seymour Shaw Park, which was a rematch of the previous season's Grand Final after goals from Jason Oswell, Franco Parisi and Sean Symons. Despite the Parramatta Eagles finishing last on the ladder, Bankstown City Lions were relegated due to finishing last in the Club Championship. The 2010 Waratah Cup (known as the 2010 McDonald's Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 8th season of the knockout competition under the Waratah Cup name. The competition featured clubs from all parts of NSW - from Association, NSW State League Division One, NSW State League Division Two, NSW Super League and NSW Premier League competitions. The winners were Marconi Stallions, their first title. Preliminary round Three matches kick started the 2010 McDonald's Cup campaign on Wednesday 31 March after as many as seven games were cancelled due to wet weather conditions that gripped Sydney. 2009 NSW Premier League Season
The 2009 TeleChoice Premier League season was the ninth season of the revamped NSW Premier League. This season also marked the addition of the Bonnyrigg White Eagles Football Club, promoted from the Super League. The 2009 regular season began on 1 March, and concluded on 9 August. The Finals series commenced a fortnight later. On 13 September the Sutherland Sharks Football Club won their second championship of the year when they defeated Marconi Stallions 4–1 in the Grand Final at CUA Stadium. During the course of the season, all Premier League, Super League and Division teams were involved in the TigerTurf Cup, an equivalent to the English FA Cup with teams competing in a series of elimination games.
