Manivathoorile Aayiram Sivarathrikal
''Manivathoorile Aayiram Sivarathrikal'' (English: The 1000 Sivarathries of Manivathoor) is 1987 Malayalam film, starring Mammootty and directed by Fazil. It was the last film of the eminent music director M. B. Sreenivasan, who died less than a year after the film was released. Plot Thirteen-year-old Vineetha and her father, Dr. Vinayachandran go to visit her grandfather, John Samuel, in Ooty on the death anniversary of Vineetha's mother Neena, who died in a tragic accident. The movie flashes back to when Vinay meets Neena at a Church Service and falls in love. Both the families, despite belonging to different religions, give full consent to the couple to marry. After the wedding, Vinay takes Neena to his home back in Manivathoor to meet his mother (played by Sukhumari). Abdul Hameed Muhammed Fazil (born 4 February 1949 in Alappuzha, Kerala), known mononymously as Fazil, is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter and actor who works in Malayalam cinema, in addition to directing a handful of Tamil films and a Telugu film. Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail (; born 7 September 1951), known mononymously by the hypocorism Mammootty (), is an Indian actor and film producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema, Malayalam films. Anandakuttan (1954 – 2016) was an Indian cinematographer who worked predominantly in Malayalam cinema. Sukumari Amma (6 October 1940 – 26 March 2013) was an Indian actress best known for her works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In a career spanning more than five decades, She has appeared in more than 2500 films predominantly in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, along with few Hindi and one each in Sinhala, French, Bengali, Tulu, English and Kannada films.
