Manitha Neethi Pasarai (MNP) is a Muslim organisation in Tamil Nadu, India which was founded by the well-known Muslim journalist M. Ghulam Mohamed. It has its stated objective as to "work on issues related to minorities and backward communities in Tamil Nadu". It is a registered Society under the Tamil Nadu Registration Societies Act with Reg.No.51 of 2001. The MNP operates the Islam-centered Tamil magazine ''Vidiyal Velli --'' the largest Muslim journal with a circulation of 23,000. that highlights various aspects of Islam. Popular Front of India (PFI) is an Islamic political organisation in India, that engages in a radical and exclusivist style of Muslim minority politics. Formed to counter Hindutva groups, it was banned by the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) on 28 September 2022 for a period of five years. PFI was founded in 2006 with the merger of the Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD) and the National Development Front (NDF). Students Islamic Movement Of India
The Students' Islamic Movement of India (abbreviated SIMI) is a banned terrorist organisation that was formed in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh in April 1977. The stated mission of SIMI is the ‘liberation of India’ by converting it to an Islamic land. The SIMI, an organisation of extremists has declared Jihad against India, the aim of which is to establish Dar-ul-Islam (land of Islam) by either forcefully converting everyone to Islam or by violence. The Indian government describes it as a terrorist organisation, and banned it in 2001, shortly after the 9/11 attacks. Indian Mujahideen (IM) is an Islamic terrorist group which has been particularly active in India. The jihadist group was founded as an offshoot of the Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) by several radicalized members including Iqbal Bhatkal, Riyaz Bhatkal, Yasin Bhatkal, Abdul Subhan Qureshi, Amir Reza Khan and Sadiq Israr Sheikh, among others. The National Development Front (NDF) was a Sunni Muslim organisation set up in Kerala. It was established in India in 1994. History Inspired by pan-Islamic movements across the country after 1992, the NDF gained a strong foothold in the Malabar region following the banning of the Organization of Islamic Servants (ISS).
