Manga Sekai Mukashi Banashi
''Tales of Magic'', also known as ''Merlin's Cave'' and ''Wonderful'', ''Wonderful Tales From Around the World'', and known in Japan as ''Manga Fairy Tales of the World'' (まんが世界昔ばなし ''Manga sekai mukashi banashi''?) is a Japanese anime anthology series based on fairy tales and classic stories, produced by Dax International with Madhouse. Premise It aired in Japan on TBS from October 7, 1976, to March 28, 1979. The series features adaptations of fairy tales, legends, literature classics and famous characters biographies. It consists of 127 episodes, each one combining two different stories, for a total of 181 story arcs (excluding reruns) which run for 10 minutes each, except for 13 mid-series stories that covered an entire half-hour episode. A Little Princess
''A Little Princess'' is a children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, first published as a book in 1905. It is an expanded version of the short story "Sara Crewe: or, What Happened at Miss Minchin's", which was serialized in '' St. Nicholas Magazine'' from December 1887, and published in book form in 1888. According to Burnett, after she composed the 1902 play ''A Little Un-fairy Princess'' based on that story, her publisher asked that she expand the story as a novel with "the things and people that had been left out before". ''Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'' (commonly ''Alice in Wonderland'') is an 1865 English novel by Lewis Carroll. It details the story of a young girl named Alice (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland), Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world of anthropomorphism, anthropomorphic creatures. Mariko Miyagi
Mariko Miyagi (宮城 まり子) (March 21, 1927 – March 21, 2020) was a Japanese actress, singer, and advocate for children with disabilities. She founded the Kusunoki Gakuen, a school for disabled children. Early life Miyagi was born Mariko Honme in Tokyo, Japan. She was the older of two siblings. Her family moved to Osaka when she was in the third grade because of her father's work. When she graduated from elementary school the family underwent a series of misfortunes, including her mother's death. Miyagi and her brother entered the Yoshimoto Kogyo production company and became singers. Career Miyagi's first stage appearance was in October 1944. Toyoo Ashida
was an anime character designer, animation director and director. Yoshiaki Kawajiri
is a writer and director of Japanese animation. He is the creator of titles such as '' Wicked City'', ''Ninja Scroll'', and '' Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust''. Biography Kawajiri was born on November 18, 1950 and grew up in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. After he graduated from high school in 1968, he worked as an animator at Mushi Production Animation until it closed in 1972. He then joined Madhouse as one of the four co-founders, and in the 1970s was promoted to animation director. Yoshifumi Kondō
was a Japanese animator who worked for Studio Ghibli in his last years. He was born in Gosen, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. He worked as an animation director on ''Anne of Green Gables'', ''Sherlock Hound'', ''Kiki's Delivery Service'', '' Only Yesterday'' and ''Princess Mononoke''. Kondō directed the animated film ''Whisper of the Heart'', and was expected to become one of the top directors at Studio Ghibli, alongside Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, and to become their eventual successor.
