Manfred Purzer
Manfred Purzer (born 13 April 1931) is a German screenwriter and film director. He wrote more than 20 films between 1955 and 1993. The Blizzard
"The Blizzard" (or The Snow Storm) (russian: Мете́ль, ''Metél' '') is the second of five short stories that constitute ''The Belkin Tales'' by Alexander Pushkin. The manuscript for the story was originally completed October 20, 1830. It was intended to be the last of ''The Belkin Tales'' to be published, but Pushkin decided to push the story to the front of the volume. The novella, so comical and at the same time so dramatic, is considered to be one of the masterpieces of Russian literature. Plot The plot concerns the relationships of an aristocratic young woman named Maria Gavrilovna (''Gavrilovna'' is a patronymic, not a surname) and the unusual coincidences that accompany them. Harald Reinl
Harald Reinl (8 July 1908 in Bad Ischl, Austria – 9 October 1986 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) was an Austrian film director. He is known for the films he made based on Edgar Wallace and Karl May books (see Karl May movies and Edgar Wallace movies) and also made mountain films, Heimatfilms, German war films and entries in such popular German film series as ''Dr. Mabuse'', ''Jerry Cotton'' and ''Kommissar X''. Reinl began his career as an extra in the mountain films of Arnold Fanck. He worked as screenwriter on the film '' Tiefland'' directed by and starring Leni Riefenstahl. Reinl's first movie as director was the mountain film ''Mountain Crystal'' (1949). He was Oscar nominated for his documentary feature '' Chariots of the Gods'' (1970). By the 1970s, he had semi-retired to the Canary Islands. Rainer Werner Fassbinder (; 31 May 1945 – 10 June 1982), sometimes credited as R. W. Fassbinder, was a German filmmaker. Biography Born in Berlin, Oswald was the son of German film director Richard Oswald and actress Käthe Oswald. He worked as a child actor before emigrating to the United States in 1938. Wolfgang Petersen (14 March 1941 – 12 August 2022) was a German film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for the World War II submarine warfare film ''Das Boot'' (1981). ''One or the Other of Us'' () is a 1974 West German film directed by Wolfgang Petersen. It was Petersen's first theatrical feature film, and was based on the novel of the same name by Horst Bosetzky, published anonymously under his pseudonym -ky. The film is a psychological thriller and focuses on the intense conflict between a university professor and a blackmailer. The film features Klaus Schwarzkopf and Jürgen Prochnow as the two main characters and won two Bundesfilmpreise.
