Mananara Avaratra
Mananara Nord or Mananara Avaratra is a commune in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Mananara Nord, which is a part of Analanjirofo Region. The population of the commune was 35,148 in 2018. It is situated at the Route Nationale No.5 between Maroantsetra and Toamasina. Mananara Nord is served by a local airport and maritime harbour. It also has riverine harbour at the Mananara River (Analanjirofo) that is located in the East of the town center. In addition to primary schooling the town offers secondary education at both junior and senior levels. The town provides access to hospital services to its citizens. The majority 50% of the population of the commune are farmers. Toamasina
Toamasina (), meaning "like salt" or "salty", unofficially and in French Tamatave, is the capital of the Atsinanana region on the east coast of Madagascar on the Indian Ocean. The city is the chief seaport of the country, situated northeast of its capital and biggest city Antananarivo. In 2018 Toamasina had a population of 325,857. Mananara-Nord National Park
Mananara Nord National Park is a national park near Mananara Nord in the Analanjirofo Region of Madagascar. The closest city is Toamasina. Vanilla is a spice derived from orchids of the genus ''Vanilla (genus), Vanilla'', primarily obtained from pods of the Mexican species, flat-leaved vanilla (''Vanilla planifolia, V. planifolia''). Maroantsetra , formerly Louisbourg, is a market town and domestic seaport in Analanjirofo Region, Madagascar, at the northern end of the Bay of Antongil. In 2005 it had a population of 42,529 people. Route Nationale 5 (Madagascar)
Route nationale 5 (RN5) is a primary highway in Madagascar of 402 km. The route runs from Toamasina to Maroantsetra, a city on the eastern coast of the Madagascar. The first 160 km until Soanierana Ivongo are paved and in good condition, but the remaining is unpaved and in a bad state of conservation. Several rivers must be crossed by ferry boats. The part from Soanierana Ivongo to Mananara Avaratra is scheduled to be paved in 2022.
