Manahan Stadium
Manahan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. Manahan is the first stadium in Indonesia which hosts the biggest disabled sporting event in Southeast Asia, the 2011 ASEAN Para Games. The stadium was opened on 21 February 1998. It is currently used mostly for association football matches and is used as the home venue for Persis Solo. This stadium now holds 20,000 spectators after the renovation. The stadium is set to be used as one of the venues for the Under-20 World Cup in 2023. Judging from the geographical location, the location of Manahan Stadium in Solo is fairly strategic. Surakarta ( jv, ꦯꦸꦫꦏꦂꦠ), known colloquially as Solo ( jv, ꦱꦭ; ), is a city in Central Java, Indonesia. The 44 km2 (16.2 sq mi) city adjoins Karanganyar Regency and Boyolali Regency to the north, Karanganyar Regency and Sukoharjo Regency to the east and west, and Sukoharjo Regency to the south. The 2010 Piala Indonesia was the fifth edition of ''Piala Indonesia'', the nationwide football cup tournament in Indonesia, involving professional clubs from Indonesia Super League, Premier Division and First Division. Sriwijaya FC was the tournament's defending champions. The winner of the tournament qualified to play for 2011 AFC Champions League qualification. RCTI was appointed as the official TV broadcaster for this tournament. 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup
The 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup will be the 23rd edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It will be hosted by Indonesia, which will be the first FIFA tournament hosted by the country. 2022 ASEAN Para Games
The 2022 ASEAN Para Games, officially known as the 11th ASEAN Para Games, is an upcoming biannual multi-sport event for athletes with physical disabilities to be hosted in Surakarta, Indonesia. Participants are expected from 11 countries in Southeast Asia. The games are patterned after the Paralympics. Originally set to be host by Vietnam in 2021, the Games were initially cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic before hosting rights were transferred to Indonesia. It is also originally scheduled from 23 to 30 July 2022, later moved to 30 July to 6 August 2022. 2017 Indonesia President's Cup ( id, Piala Presiden 2017) was the second edition of the Indonesia President's Cup football championship, which was held by the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). The tournament was held from 4 February to 12 March 2017. In 2015 edition, Mahaka Sports and Entertainment designated as operator of the championship; this year's edition was held up by the control of the PSSI.
