Mamuka Khazaradze
Mamuka Khazaradze ( ka, მამუკა ხაზარაძე; born 29 December 1966) is a Georgian businessman who co-founded the largest Georgian universal bank, JSC TBC Bank in 1992. In 2019, he moved into politics, setting up a political movement Lelo for Georgia. A criminal charge was filed against Khazaradze and his business partner, alleging that they were involved in money-laundering, after he announced formation of Lelo. It was deemed as an attack on political pluralism in Georgia. Early life and education He graduated from Tbilisi Technical University in 1988 and also holds an executive degree from Harvard Business School, where he studied during 1998–2000. The Parliament of Georgia ( ka, საქართველოს პარლამენტი, tr) is the supreme national legislature of Georgia. It is a unicameral parliament, currently consisting of 150 members; of these, 120 are proportional representatives and 30 are elected through single-member district plurality system, representing their constituencies. Lelo For Georgia
Lelo for Georgia () is a centrist liberal political party in Georgia that was created at the end of 2019 by businessmen Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze. The party has attracted a number of prominent political figures and parties (through mergers), including David Usupashvili's Development Movement, the New Rights Party and Pikria Chikhradze. It also has attracted a number of centre-left political figures, such as Grigol Gegelia. Political ambitions The party is seeking to contest the parliamentary elections in Georgia, scheduled for October 2020. The Presidential Order of Excellence is an award given by the President of Georgia to individuals in culture, education, science, art, sport, and other fields, for significant achievements and meritorious service for Georgia.
