"Mama" is a song by South Korean-Chinese boy bands Exo (band), Exo-K and Exo-M. It served as their debut single and the title track of their debut extended play ''Mama (EP), Mama'' (2012). Available in both Korean language, Korean and Standard Chinese, Mandarin, the song was released Music download, digitally on April 8, 2012, by SM Entertainment. Release and promotion "Mama" was written by Yoo Young-jin and produced by Yoo Young-jin. The Korean version is performed by subgroup Exo (band)#Exo-K, Exo-K and the Mandarin version by Exo (band)#Exo-M, Exo-M. Exo ( ko, 엑소; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean-Chinese boy band based in Seoul formed by SM Entertainment in 2011 and debuted in 2012. The group consists of nine members: Xiumin, Suho, Lay Zhang, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen (singer), Chen, Park Chanyeol, Chanyeol, D.O. (entertainer), D.O., Kai (entertainer, born 1994), Kai and Oh Se-hun, Sehun. They are noted for releasing music and performing extensively in Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Mandarin and Japanese. ''Inkigayo'' ( ko, 인기가요; English title: ''The Music Trend'', previously ''Popular Song'') is a South Korean music program broadcast by SBS. It airs live every Sunday. The show features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform on stage. It is broadcast from the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. History ''Inkigayo'' debuted as ''SBS Popular Song'' in 1991 as a chart show, but was canceled in fall 1993 because it was replaced by TV Gayo 20 (TV 가요20). It was later revived in 1998 with its original title and format. In 2003, the chart format was removed and was replaced by ''Take 7'', where seven of the most popular artists from the week are featured and the most popular artist receives the award for ''Mutizen Song''.
