Malte Amundsen
Malte Meineche Amundsen (born 11 February 1998) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a defender for New York City FC of Major League Soccer. Club career Born in Næstved, Amundsen started his youth career with hometown club Næstved Boldklub, before moving to the HB Køge youth academy in January 2013. He made his debut in the Danish Cup on 23 September 2015 against AC Horsens. A few months later, 29 November 2015, he made his league debut coming on against FC Vestsjælland. Amundsen signed for Rosenborg in January 2018. On 20 April 2018, he made his debut for Rosenborg playing the full game against Trygg/Lade in a Cup game which Rosenborg won 4–2. A week later, he started against Lillestrøm in the 2018 Mesterfinalen and helped secure a 1–0 victory. 15 January 2019, Amundsen returned to Denmark, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract with Vejle Boldklub. The Norwegian Football Cup ( no, Norgesmesterskapet i fotball for herrer) is the main knockout cup competition in Norwegian football. It is run by the Football Association of Norway and has been contested since 1902, making it the oldest football tournament in the country. 2019–20 Danish 1st Division
The 2019–20 Danish 1st Division season was the 24th season of the Danish 1st Division league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The division-champion was promoted to the 2020–21 Danish Superliga. The teams in 10th, 11th and 12th places were relegated to the 2020–21 Danish 2nd Divisions. The reason for this change in promotion and relegation spots was that the Danish Superliga was reduced to 12 teams following this season. The Danish Superliga ( da, Superligaen, ) is the current Danish football championship tournament, and administered by the Danish Football Association. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated. 2018–19 Danish Superliga
The 2018–19 Danish Superliga season was the 29th season of the Danish Superliga. Midtjylland were the defending champions. The season started on 13 July 2018 and ended on 26 May 2019. Teams FC Helsingør finished as loser in the relegation play-offs in the 2017–18 season and was relegated to the 2018–19 1st Division along with Silkeborg IF, and Lyngby who lost their respective relegation play-offs as well. Mesterfinalen ( en, Champions Final), also known as UNICEF Mesterfinalen due to its cooperation with UNICEF, is a Norwegian association football competition contested between the champions of the previous Eliteserien season and the holders of the Norwegian Football Cup. If the same team is both reigning League and Cup champions, the silver medalist from the league provides the opposition. The competition was founded in 2009, then known as Superfinalen ( en, Super Final). Superfinalen was not arranged between 2011 and 2016 before it was rebranded and again arranged in 2017. Eliteserien () is a Norwegian professional league for association football clubs. At the top of the Norwegian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings. The 2018 Eliteserien was the 74th completed season of top-tier football in Norway. This was second season of Eliteserien as rebranding from Tippeligaen. The season began on 11 March and ended 24 November 2018, not including play-off matches. Fixtures for the 2018 season were announced on 19 December 2017. Rosenborg were the defending champions, while Bodø/Glimt, Start and Ranheim entered as the promoted teams from the 2017 1. divisjon. The 1st Division (''1. Division'') is the second-highest football league in Denmark, also known as NordicBet Liga for sponsorship reasons. From 1945 to 1991 the 1. Division was the name of the highest level of football in Denmark. With the formation of the Danish Superliga, the 1st Division became the second tier of Danish football.
