Malmö Arab Film Festival
Malmö Arab Film Festival (MAFF) is an Arab film festival based in Malmö, Sweden. MAFF is widely regarded as the most influential and largest Arabic film festival in Europe, and is the only one in Scandinavia. The first edition was held in 2011 and today the festival presents a broad selection of films made by Arab filmmakers or that in some way connects with questions of the Arab world or culture. Malmö
Malmö (, ; da, Malmø ) is the largest city in the Swedish county (län) of Scania (Skåne). Mehdi M. Barsaoui (born 23 May 1984), is a Tunisian filmmaker. He is best known as the director of critically acclaimed shorts and feature films ''A Son'', ''Sideways'' and ''Bobby''. Sherif El Bendary ( ar, شريف البنداري; born 29 September 1978) is an Egyptian film director, writer and producer. His debut feature film was '' Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim''. Life and career Sherif graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in 2001 then worked in textile factories. Her films are primarily documentaries which focus on the real life struggles of the women and children living in the occupied Palestinian territories and Lebanon.
