Malinda Lowe
Malinda Lowe (born 13 August 1979), is a Sri Lankan record producer, audio engineer, songwriter, and event manager particularly in Live Sound and mixing console. He is known for recording and mixing songs and synthesizers for major artists such as Shreya Goshal, Udit Narayan, Olivia Newton-John, Mohombi, Akon, Sonu Nigam, Bathiya and Santhush and The Gypsies. He is also the creator and founder of Universal Sound Productions. Personal life Lowe was born on 13 August 1979 in Chailaw, Sri Lanka. He started education from St. Mary's College, Chilaw. Then he attended to St. Anthony's College, Wattala to complete secondary education. He completed his O/Ls in 1996, and started mathematics for his A/Ls, which ended in three months. Chilaw
Chilaw ( si, හලාවත, translit=Halāvata, ta, சிலாபம், translit=Cilāpam) is a large town in Puttalam District, North Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is governed by an urban council. The town is located 80 kilometres away from Colombo via Negombo. Etymology The name Chilaw derives its name from its Tamil name ''Cilāpam'', meaning pearl fishery. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral The seat of the Chilaw Diocese, this cathedral has a history of more than two centuries. According to legend, 200 years ago, most of what is now Chilaw Town was covered by a forest. A woman was searching for firewood and heard the sound of a lady speaking, "Please take me". The Gypsies are a Sri Lankan baila Band (rock and pop), band that performs Sinhala language, Sinhala and English language, English songs. The band was founded in the early 1970s and has since garnered a huge fan base across Sri Lanka and is one of Sri Lanka's most famous bands. They are a highly paid band in Sri Lanka, as they constantly perform at parties, dances and at many concerts. The band was once banned by the Government of Sri Lanka due to many of its songs carrying antigovernmental sentiments.
