Malee
''Malee'' ( si, මලී) is a 2011 Sri Lankan mystery thriller teledrama broadcast on TV Derana. The series is produced by Janaka Siriwardena and directed by Nimal Ratnayake. It initially aired from every Monday to Thursday from 7.30 pm to 8 pm onwards but later changed to air on every weekday at 9 pm to 9.30 pm. The series was followed by three more seasons - Aththamma (Malee 2), Sidu (Malee 3) and Shakthi (Sidu 2). It stars Duleeka Marapana in lead role along with newcomer actors Samadhi Arunachaya and Sanketh Wickremage in supportive roles. The show becomes highly popular and was nominated for Sumathi Awards and Raigam Tele'es in many award categories. Sidu (TV Series)
''Sidu'' also known as ''Malee 3'' is a 2016 Sri Lankan long-running teledrama and is the third installment in the Malee TV series which aires in 2011–12 broadcast on TV Derana. It is a sequel to the 2013 teledrama Aththamma (Malee 2) and follows the story of Malee's son, Sidu who is abducted by his mother's former foes, and the boy's friendship with a young Buddhist monk. Sidu is written by Saman Edirimunee and directed by Thilina Boralessa. This drama aired from 8 August 2016 to 7 January 2022. A sequel named ''Shakthi (Sidu 2)'' began airing from 10 January 2022.
