Malcolm Hickman
Malcolm Francis Hickman (born 30 June 1936) is a former English cricketer. Hickman was a right-handed batsman. He was born at Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Hickman made his first-class debut for Leicestershire against Glamorgan in the 1954 County Championship. Market Harborough is a market town in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England, in the far southeast of the county, forming part of the border with Northamptonshire. Market Harborough's population was 25,143 in 2020. It is the administrative headquarters of the larger Harborough District. Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Kent. In cricket, a player's batting average is the total number of runs they have scored divided by the number of times they have been out, usually given to two decimal places. Since the number of runs a player scores and how often they get out are primarily measures of their own playing ability, and largely independent of their teammates, batting average is a good metric for an individual player's skill as a batter (although the practice of drawing comparisons between players on this basis is not without criticism).
