Malcolm De Sousa
Malcolm De Sousa (born 12 July 1991) is an international lawn bowler from Jersey. Bowls career De Sousa represented Jersey at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2018 Commonwealth Games In 2011 he won singles and pairs bronze medals at the Atlantic Bowls Championships and in 2019 he won the fours silver medal at the Atlantic Bowls Championships. De Sousa has won two British titles, winning the fours in 2016 and pairs in 2019 at the British Isles Bowls Championships. In 2020 he was selected for the 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Australia. In October 2021, De Sousa was selected to represent Jersey in the 2022 Commonwealth Games being held in Birmingham. He duly competed in the men's triples and the men's fours at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. In 2023, he won the pairs title for the second time, with Ross Davis at the British Isles Bowls Championships, held in Ayr. Ross Davis (born 1994) is an international lawn bowls player from Jersey. He became the British singles champion after winning the British Isles Bowls Championships in 2018. Bowls career Commonwealth Games Davis represented Jersey at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia. He competed in the triples event where the team reached the quarter-finals. In October 2021, Davis was selected to represent Jersey in the 2022 Commonwealth Games being held in Birmingham. In 2022, he competed in the men's singles and the men's pairs at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Atlantic Bowls Championships
The Atlantic Bowls Championships was a lawn bowling competition held between national bowls organisations in the Atlantic region. The event was a qualifying event for the World Outdoor Bowls Championships until the 2021 announcement that it would no longer be held. Originally the Championships were for women only and were called the Atlantic Rim Championships. In 2007 men competed for the first time at the event. The 2001 tournament due to be held in Namibia was cancelled due to opposition from the Namibia Sports Commission. The next tournament was held in 2005.
