Malaysian Hip-hop
The Malaysian hip hop is a hip hop music performed in Malaysia. Many of Malaysian hip hop artistes performed songs mostly in English, but also rhymed in their native Malay language. History Malaysian hip hop music started in the late 1980s and early 1990s with rap groups such as KRU, 4U2C, NICO, Naughtius Maximus, and HQA, but their so-called "rap music" was not accepted by the mainstream community and so they had to change to a more pop-ish sound. In 1991, local rapper HQA released the classic album ''Baguvix''. At around the same time, another group called Krash Kozz was the only group to introduce the new jack swing hip hop sound to Malaysian listeners, but they disbanded after their third album, ''New Jack The Street Beat'' was released. Those were trying times, when the pioneers of the local hip hop scene were trying hard to break the monotony of rock music, love ballads and pop sounds, which are staples in the Malaysian music scene, with the fans of these genres refus ...

Positive Tone
Positive Tone Sdn. Bhd. was a Malaysian record label, established in 1993 by Jeff Siah and Kenny Tay. The label's first release is Leonard Tan's debut album. After Paul Moss and Ahmad Izham Omar joined Positive Tone, the label become one of Malaysia's top recording companies. In 1998, Positive Tone was acquired by EMI Malaysia, after the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Some of the company's famous act includes Too Phat, Poetic Ammo, Reefa, VE, Ruffedge, Juliet The Orange, Nicestupidplayground and Innuendo. The label was closed in 2003, and all Positive Tone artists was absorbed into EMI Malaysia. As part of EMI's withdrawal from Southeast Asia market in 2008, EMI Malaysia was closed. The compilation album ''Best of Positive Tone'' was the last album to be released by EMI Malaysia. Mikael Adam bin Muhammad Rafee Michel Lozach or Mikael Adam Lozach, better known as SonaOne is a Malaysian singer-songwriter and actor. He gained recognition through the songs "I Don't Care" with Mal Karmal, "No More" and with rapper Joe Flizzow "Havoc" and "Hello". In 2014, he won an award in the 29th Anugerah Juara Lagu. His song "No More" was awarded the best song in the 21st Anugerah Industri Muzik. It made him a composer who has won two major awards in the same year, with the other being Adnan Abu Hassan. Rabbit Mac
Charles John Macallum, known as Rabbit Mac, is a Hip Hop and Rap based Indian singer from Malaysia who is active in the Malaysian musical industry. He has thus far created 3 albums and have collaborated with other artists for over 50 albums. Rabbit, who is also into hip-hop Malaysian Tamil Underground music, started his professional music career by making remixes of both English and Tamil songs. Career At the beginning of his career and due to his passion for music and curiosity, Rabbit was noticed by some of the leading pubs and bistros as an Emcee and DJ, getting hired to participate in special shows, Hip Hop shows and Gigs in Penang. Malique Ibrahim
Too Phat was a Malaysian hip-hop duo, composed of rappers Joe Flizzow (born Johan Ishak in Kuala Lumpur; 16 October 1979) and Malique (born Malique Ibrahim in Johor Bahru; 21 August 1977). Shazrina binti Azman, also known as Mizz Nina, (born 1 July 1980) is a Malaysian fashion designer, motivational speaker, television personality, humanitarian, and co-founder of Dopstv, an Islamic lifestyle channel. She was also a musician, singer-songwriter, rapper, and dancer in the past.
