Maksymilian Ossoliński
Maksymilian Ossoliński (c. 1558 – 1655) was a Polish-Lithuanian nobleman and politician. He was Chamberlain of Sandomierz (1633), podskarbi, Treasurer of the Crown Court (1636–1648), Castellan of Czersk (1648) and Starost of Bieck and Malbork. Biography Born in 1588 into the Ossoliński family of nobles, he was the third son of Jan Zbigniew Ossoliński, Jana Zbigniew (1555–1623) (MP, Speaker of the Sejm (1601)) and Matką Maksymiliana. His brothers were Krzysztof Ossoliński (1587–1645) (voivode of Sandomierz) and Jerzy Ossoliński (1595–1650) ( Treasurer, governor, Chancellor of the Crown). He studied with his brother Jerzy with the Jesuits in Lublin in 1596, and then at universities in Western Europe. He visited Italy and the Netherlands. Sandomierz
Sandomierz (pronounced: ; la, Sandomiria) is a historic town in south-eastern Poland with 23,863 inhabitants (as of 2017), situated on the Vistula River in the Sandomierz Basin. It has been part of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (Holy Cross Province) since 1999, having previously been located in the Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship. It is the capital of Sandomierz County. Hieronim Ossoliński
Hieronim Ossoliński, (born ? – died 1575 or 1576), coat of arms Topór, was a Polish statesman, kasztelan of Sandomierz and Wojnicz, a delegate to the Sejm of 1569 and one of the signatories of the Union of Lublin, which formally united Poland and Lithuania into the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Ossoliński was a Calvinist, and a leader of Protestants in the province of Małopolska during the reign of king Zygmunt August. Ossoliński was also one of the leaders of the Executionist movement, which sought to reform 16th century Polish politics. Early life In his youth, Hieronim was sent by his family to study abroad. Płock (pronounced ) is a city in central Poland, on the Vistula river, in the Masovian Voivodeship. Kopřivnice (; german: Nesselsdorf) is a town in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 21,000 inhabitants. Klimontów is a town in Sandomierz County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Klimontów.
