Maksud Jamil Mintu
Samiul Mintu is a Bangladeshi music composer and director. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director for the song "Ekta Chilo Sonar Konya" in the film ''Srabon Megher Din'' (1999). Early life and career Mintoo first played guitar in 1979. In 1982, he began working in film playback songs with Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul. He played the guitar for the background score for the film ''Megh Bijli Badol''. Mintoo first worked as a music director in the film ''Agun Jalo'', directed by Motin Rahman. The film featured the song "Elomelo Batashe", rendered by singer Baby Naznin. He worked as composer and music director in several films by Humayun Ahmed. In 1986 Mintoo released an audio album for Shaikh Ishtiak named ''Nondita''. In 1987 he released an audio album for Baby Naznin. Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Direction ( bn, বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় চলচ্চিত্র পুরস্কার শ্রেষ্ঠ সঙ্গীত পরিচালক) is the highest award for music direction in Bangladeshi film. History Ferdausi Rahman became the only female musician to claim a National Award for best music direction. Alauddin Ali three consecutive awards in the years : 1978, 1979 and 1980. Shuvro Dev ( bn, শুভ্র দেব) is a Bangladeshi musician. Background Born in Sylhet, Dev passed the matriculation exam from Sylhet Government Pilot High School. He completed his MSc in biochemistry from the University of Dhaka. He received the President's Award in music on BTV's "Nutun Kuri" contest in 1978. Career Dev started his career in the mid 1980s and sang modern romantic songs. He released his first music album ''Hemiloner Bashiwala'' in 1984. Sabina Yasmin
Sabina Yasmin (born 4 September 1953) is a Bangladeshi singer. She is best known as a playback singer in Bengali cinema. She has won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer a record 14 times. She has recorded more than 1,500 songs for films and over 10,000 songs in total. Yasmin was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1984 and Independence Day Award in 1996 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life Yasmin was born on 4 September 1953. Tapan Chowdhury (born 7 January) is a Bangladeshi musician. He is a former member of the musical group Souls and is known for his modern (Adhunik) songs. He won Best Male Singer in 1st Meril-Prothom Alo Awards in 1998. Career Chowdhury was trained by Ustad Priyadaranjan Sen, Ustad Mihirlala and Pandit Sanjit Dey. He started his career with Souls and worked for the band for 22 years. Later, he started to work as a solo singer. He performed as a playback singer for more than 300 films.
