Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Direction ( bn, বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় চলচ্চিত্র পুরস্কার শ্রেষ্ঠ সঙ্গীত পরিচালক) is the highest award for music direction in Bangladeshi film. History Ferdausi Rahman became the only female musician to claim a National Award for best music direction. Alauddin Ali three consecutive awards in the years : 1978, 1979 and 1980. Khandaker Nurul Alam won this award in 1984, 1986 and 1991. Satya Saha earned two consecutive awards in 1994 and 1996. Alam Khan earned three awards in the 1980s : 1982, 1985 and 1987. On the other hand, Alauddin Ali won his 4th and 5th (the last) National Award in 1988 and 1990 respectively. Azad Rahman earned this honour twice : 1977 and 1993. The Bangladeshi Cinema, better known as Dhallywood ( bn, ঢালিউড), is the Bengali-language film industry based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has often been a significant film industry since the early 1970s. The dominant style of Bangladeshi cinema is melodramatic cinema, which developed from 1947 to 1990 and characterizes most films to this day. Cinema was introduced in Bangladesh in 1898 by the Bradford Bioscope Company, credited to have arranged the first film release in Bangladesh. Between 1913 and 1914, the first production company, Picture House, was opened. A 1928 short silent film titled ''Sukumari'' () was the first Bengali-produced film in the region. Censorship in Bangladesh refers to the government censorship of the press and infringement of freedom of speech. Article 39 of the constitution of Bangladesh protects free speech. ''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' ( bn, গোলাপী এখন ট্রেনে, Gōlāpī Ekhon Trēnē, Golapi is now on a train - English name: The Endless Trail) is a Bangladeshi drama film based on the novel of Amjad Hossain ''Droupodi Ekhon Traine'' and directed by himself.
