Maken-ki!
is a Japanese manga series by Hiromitsu Takeda. It was published by Fujimi Shobo's magazine ''Dragon Age Pure'', and later ''Monthly Dragon Age'', after the former magazine ceased publishing. It has been adapted into an anime series by Anime International Company, AIC that aired on Tokyo MX in the fall of 2011. It is licensed in North America by Crunchyroll (also known as Funimation until 2022) under the title ''Maken-ki! Battling Venus''. Two OVA episodes animated by AIC and Xebec (studio), Xebec were released at February 29, 2012 and September 25, 2013. They were bundled with the eighth and eleventh volumes of the manga respectively. Yōsuke Kuroda
is a Japanese anime screenwriter from Mie Prefecture, Japan. He has his own studio enterprise, Studio Orphee. Kuroda is noted for his work on authoring the scenario, screenplay and story composition of the anime series ''Excel Saga'', ''Please Teacher!'' and its sequel ''Please Twins!'', ''Honey and Clover'', ''Mobile Suit Gundam 00'' and numerous others. In 2003, Kuroda won the Individual Award at the 8th Animation Kobe event, held annually in Kobe. Xebec (studio)
was a Japanese animation studio based in Kokubunji, Tokyo, founded by former Tatsunoko Production animators on May 1, 1995. They have worked on many popular series such as '' Fafner'', ''Martian Successor Nadesico'', ''Love Hina'', ''Shaman King'', ''To Love Ru'', ''Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs'', and '' Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202''. Monica Jean Rial (born October 5, 1975) is an American voice actress and ADR script writer affiliated with Funimation and Seraphim Digital/Sentai Filmworks. She provides voices for English language versions of Japanese anime films and television series. Career Rial's first voice-over role was some walla in the 1999 dub of ''Martian Successor Nadesico''. In an interview with Otaku News, Rial said she had to talk for two minutes straight as folks in a crowd telling the Jovians to go home.
