Makari (band)
Makari (from the Greek word ''Μακάρι'', which expresses wishfulness) is an American ambient rock band from Orlando, Florida, formed in 2011. The band currently consists of vocalist Andy Cizek, guitarists Matt Beljan and Eric Stewart, bass guitarist John Tomasso, and drummer Kevin Beljan. History Makari was formed in 2011 by guitarists Matt Beljan and Eric Stewart, bass guitarist John Tomasso, drummer Kevin Beljan, vocalist Brandon Cullen and keyboardist Lindsey England. With this lineup, Makari independently released EPs ''The Escape'' (2011), ''See Dreams'' (2013) and ''Ghost Stories'' (2015), as well as maxi-single ''Makari (Knives, Knives, Knives)'' (2012). The latter featured guest vocals from Tilian Pearson (Dance Gavin Dance, ex-Tides of Man) on a track "Life, Barefoot". Jonny Craig
Jonathan Monroe Craig (born March 26, 1986) is a Canadian-American singer and songwriter, best known as the former lead vocalist of bands Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa, and Rain City Drive, as well as the co-lead vocalist of the short-lived supergroup Isles & Glaciers. As a solo artist, he has released two studio albums, two EPs and a live album to date, and his distinct type of soul-based singing has earned him considerable acclaim. Rain City Drive is an American post-hardcore band from Sacramento, California, United States, formed in 2014 under the name Slaves. They released three studio albums, '' Through Art We Are All Equals'' on June 24, 2014, '' Routine Breathing'' on August 21, 2015 and '' Beautiful Death'' on February 16, 2018 with founding member and original lead vocalist Jonny Craig. ''There’s A Place I Want To Take You'' is the second studio album by American recording artist Kurt Travis, released on May 17, 2019, through Blue Swan Records and his own label, Esque Records. It also serves as a follow-up to his debut studio album, ''Everything Is Beautiful'' (2014). The album's lyrical content deals with heartbreak and emotional turmoil while, sonically, Travis pursued folk-inspired songwriting, using elements of indie rock, electronica, dream pop, and power pop. It was produced by Mike Watts and recorded at VuDu Recording Studios in Port Jefferson, New York and features a guest appearance from singer-rapper Andrés on two tracks. Andrew Robert Wade (born August 4, 1984) is an American recording engineer and music producer. Early years and A Wish for Marilynne (2002–2006) In August 2002, Wade started playing guitar and singing lead vocals in Christian rock/emo band A Wish for Marilynne. Kurt Travis (born January 16, 1987) is an American singer, musician, and songwriter from Sacramento, California. He is currently part of the post-hardcore bands Royal Coda and Push Over and the math rock duo Gold Necklace, and was formerly a vocalist in the rock bands Dance Gavin Dance and A Lot Like Birds. Travis began his musical career in 2001. He joined post-hardcore band Five Minute Ride, releasing the extended plays (EPs), ''Bathroom Walls... Lipstick Secrets'' in 2003, and ''The World Needs Convincing of All That It's Missing'', on Rise Records, in 2005 before disbanding later that year.
