Mai Charoenpura ( th, ใหม่ เจริญปุระ; born January 5, 1969), also known by the former stage name Mai Siriwimol ( th, ใหม่ สิริวิมล), is a Thai singer and actress. Biography Early life Born in Bangkok, Thailand, she is one of four daughters of Thai actor Surin Charoenpura (stage name: Ruj Ronnapop) and Winee Sontikool. She has three sisters, Venic White, Vipavee Maguire, and a half sister, actress Intira Charoenpura. Mai was educated in England, at Farringtons School. Music career As a singer, since 1989 Charoenpura has released dozens of albums, music videos and performed in many concerts. Carabao (band)
Carabao ( th, คาราบาว) is a Thai rock band that is very popular in Thailand and other Asian countries. The group was formed in 1981 by university students Yuenyong Opakul ( Aed) and Kirati Promsaka Na Sakon Nakhon (Keo or Khiao) who met while studying at Mapúa Institute of Technology in the Philippines. The word ''carabao'' means "buffalo", a symbol of fighting, hard work, and patience. They are known for their Phleng phuea chiwit (เพลงเพื่อชีวิต) or 'songs for life'. This kind of music came to prominence through the protest songs of the 1970s political upheaval in Thailand, especially from the band Caravan. MCOT HD (in Thailand called Channel 9 MCOT HD th, ช่อง 9 เอ็มคอตเอชดี) is a Thai free-to-air television network launched on 24 June 1955 and owned by MCOT. History The channel was originally launched as Channel 4 Bang Khun Phrom (ช่อง 4 บางขุนพรหม) with test transmissions beginning on 6 September 1954 and beginning formal broadcasts on 24 June 1955. A cameo role, also called a cameo appearance and often shortened to just cameo (), is a brief appearance of a well-known person in a work of the performing arts.
