Mahmoud Aldebe
Mahmoud Jamil al-Debe ( ar, محمود جميل الدبعي, born 10 August 1954) is the chairman of the Muslim Association of Sweden ( sv, Sveriges muslimska förbund, ''SMF''). He was previously vice chairman of the Muslim Council of Sweden ( sv, Sveriges muslimska råd), an umbrella organization with the Muslim Association of Sweden as one of its members. In the mid 1980s, as the chairman of SMF and in conjunction with ''Statens invandrarverk'' (the former name of the Swedish Migration Agency) he authored the leaflet "Islam in Sweden" (Swedish: ''Islam i Sverige'') wherein he expresses the view that Islam is an all-encompassing belief system which gives firm instructions which are to be followed in all aspects of daily life: moral, spiritual, political and economic. The Muslim Association of Sweden ( sv, Sveriges muslimska förbund, SMF) is Sweden's largest Muslim organisation, which represents around 70,000 Muslims in Sweden, which receives state aid from Swedish Agency for Support to Faith Communities. Honor Killing
An honor killing (American English), honour killing (Commonwealth English), or shame killing is the murder of an individual, either an outsider or a member of a family, by someone seeking to protect what they see as the dignity and honor of themselves or their family. Honor killings are often connected to religion, caste and other forms of hierarchical social stratification, or to sexuality. Most often, it involves the murder of a woman or girl by male family members, due to the perpetrators' belief that the victim has brought dishonor or shame upon the family name, reputation or prestige. Abd Al Haqq Kielan
Abd al Haqq Kielan ( ar, عبدالحق كيلان, born 22 June 1941) is a Swedish Muslim cleric. He is an Imam at the mosque in Eskilstuna and at the Islamic Association in Stockholm. He is also chairman of the Swedish Islamic Society and permanent secretary of the Swedish Islamic Academy. Kielan was born Leif Karlsson in Eskilstuna, Sweden. He first came in contact with Islam during a travel to Morocco in 1963. He converted to the religion in 1984 when he also changed his legal name to Abd al Haqq Kielan, an Arabic name which loosely means "humble servant of the truth". Kielan caused controversy after an interview in 2004 where he said that "it's doubtful" whether women should be entitled to their own social life outside the home. ''Expressen'' (''The Express'') is one of two nationwide evening newspapers in Sweden, the other being '' Aftonbladet''. ''Expressen'' was founded in 1944; its symbol is a wasp and its slogans are "it stings" or "''Expressen'' to your rescue". Overview The first edition of ''Expressen'' was published on 16 November 1944. A main feature that day was an interview with the crew members of a British bomber who were successful in sinking the German ship ''Tirpitz''. Iraqi Kurdistan or Southern Kurdistan ( ku, باشووری کوردستان, Başûrê Kurdistanê) refers to the Kurdish-populated part of northern Iraq. It is considered one of the four parts of "Kurdistan" in Western Asia, which also includes parts of southeastern Turkey (Northern Kurdistan), northern Syria (Western Kurdistan), and northwestern Iran (Eastern Kurdistan). Much of the geographical and cultural region of Iraqi Kurdistan is part of the Kurdistan Region (KRI), an autonomous region recognized by the Constitution of Iraq.
