Magrib (film)
''Magrib'' ( ml, മഗ്രിബ്, en, italic=yes, Dusk or ''Reprieve'') is a 1993 Malayalam film by P. T. Kunju Muhammed. The film is about the relative shift in the frame of references ruling the familial relations in a traditional community having specific cultural ethos, that of the Muslims in the South Malabar. It stars Murali, Sreenivasan, V. K. Sreeraman and Saranya. Plot The story is woven around Razaq, a convict lunatic confined in the asylum for many years. He had killed his wife in anger, suspecting her of infidelity. An infant girl child of the couple who had become an orphan, was brought up by the joint family. Time inexorably passes and the time has arrived for the girl's marriage. But this created a major problem in the close-knit family. The family members, who at the outset set out to secure the release of Razaq from the lunatic asylum gre wiser when its possibility was seen turning into reality and then backed out. Murali (Malayalam Actor)
Muraleedharan Pillai, popularly known as Murali ( ml, മുരളി, 25 May 1954 – 6 August 2009) was an Indian film, stage and television actor and author. He mainly appeared in Malayalam films and a few Tamil films and also many other movies. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Appa Mestry, a communist freedom fighter and professional weaver in the 2002 film ''Neythukaran''. He was known for his powerful portrayal of character roles, lead roles and negative roles. Murali started his film career playing villain roles and soon turned to character acting. He played the leading role in the 1992 film ''Aadhaaram'', which gave a "break" to his career. The film was well received at the box office and Murali ascended to the status of a star in Malayalam cinema, which he enjoyed for a few years during the 1990s. Sreenivasan (born 6 April 1956) is an Indian actor, screenwriter, director, dubbing artist and producer who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. Sreenivasan has starred in over 225 films. Saranya Ponvannan
Saranya Ponvannan (born Sheela Christina) is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam language films. Saranya made her debut in a lead role in Mani Ratnam's ''Nayakan'' (1987) and went on to play lead roles from 1987 to 1996. Following an eight-year sabbatical, she returned to films in 2003 as a character actor roles. Ramesh Narayan
Ramesh Narayan (born 3 November 1959) is an Indian classical vocalist, composer and music producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He belongs to the Mewati gharana of Hindustani classical music. Narayan began his initial training in Carnatic music and later mastered the classical Hindustani style under the renowned Pandit Jasraj. Narayan began his career composing score music for documentaries, films and Indian television programs in Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil. He composed and sung the national integration song ''Saur Mandal Mein Tim Tim'' in 1996, directed by Jnanpith Award laureate M.T. Vasudevan Nair for Lok Seva Sanchar Parishad. Madhu Ambat is an Indian cinematographer. With a career spanning over 40 years, he is one of the most prolific cinematographers in Indian cinema. He is best known for his work in films such as ''Amaram'', '' Anjali'', and ''Makaramanju''. He currently resides in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He has won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography thrice. He is a member of the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC). The Malabar Coast is the southwestern coast of the Indian subcontinent.
