Magog (Bible)
Magog (; Hebrew: מגוג ; Greek: Μαγώγ) is the second of the seven sons of Japheth mentioned in the Table of Nations in Genesis . The origin of the term is not clear, this name indicates either a person, or a tribe, or a geographical reality (country or city). In the book of Ezekiel, the pagan Magog people live "north of the World", and metaphorically represent the forces of Evil, which associates it with Apocalyptic traditions. Etymology The origin of the name ''Magog'' is unclear. It has been conjectured to come from the Akkadian ''mat Gugi'', "land of Gog", that is, the land of Gyges: Lydia. In the Bible Magog is often associated with apocalyptic traditions, mainly in connection with Ezekiel 38 and 39 which mentions " Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech In the Bible, Meshech or Mosoch ( he, ''Mešeḵ'' "price" or "precious") is named as a son of Japheth in Genesis 10:2 and 1 Chronicles 1:5. Supper's Ready
"Supper's Ready" is a song by the progressive rock band Genesis, recorded for their 1972 studio album '' Foxtrot''. At 23 minutes in length, it is the band's longest recorded song and almost takes up the entire second side of the vinyl. Frontman Peter Gabriel wrote the lyrics, which mainly describe a personal journey of scenes from the Book of Revelation and good versus evil, with several real life experiences providing further inspiration. The song took form in the summer of 1972, when Genesis dedicated time to write new songs after touring '' Nursery Cryme''. After the opening acoustic sections were arranged, it was considered a companion piece to " The Musical Box" until Gabriel pitched the tune "Willow Farm", which took the song into a different direction. Genesis extend the piece further, culminating in the final two sections, "Apocalypse in 9/8" and "As Sure as Eggs is Eggs", which the band felt was some of their strongest recorded material. "Supper's Ready" became a cent ...

Gog And Magog
Gog and Magog (; he, גּוֹג וּמָגוֹג, ''Gōg ū-Māgōg'') appear in the Hebrew Bible and the Quran as individuals, tribes, or lands. In Ezekiel 38, Gog is an individual and Magog is his land; in Genesis 10, Magog is a man and eponymous ancestor of a nation, but no Gog is mentioned; by the time of Jewish tradition had long since changed Ezekiel's "Gog ''from'' Magog" into "Gog ''and'' Magog". The Gog prophecy is meant to be fulfilled at the approach of what is called the "Eschatology, end of days", but not necessarily the end of the world. Jewish eschatology viewed Gog and Magog as enemies to be defeated by the Messiah in Judaism, Messiah, which would usher in the age of the Messiah. Christianity's interpretation is more starkly Apocalypse, apocalyptic, making Gog and Magog, here indicating nations rather than individuals, allies of Satan against God at the end of the Millennialism, millennium, as described in the Book of Revelation. A legend was attached to Gog ...
