Magno Mocelin
Magno Mocelin (born 26 February 1974), known as Magno, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward. His 15-year professional career, which was spent in four countries, was mainly associated with Alavés in Spain, for which he appeared in 208 official games and played in one UEFA Cup final. Club career Born in Curitiba, Paraná, Magno started playing professionally with Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense. He moved overseas in 1996, spending three seasons with Dutch Eredivisie club FC Groningen and being relegated at the end of his last. Aged 24, Magno joined La Liga side Deportivo Alavés for the 1998–99 campaign, remaining six years with the Basques and playing an important attacking role (mainly as a substitute as the team reached the 2001 final of the UEFA Cup which was lost to Liverpool in extra time, where he was sent off). In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. Cypriot First Division
The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship. The league is contested by 14 teams and runs from August to May, with the three lowest-placed teams being relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and replaced by the top three teams in that division. In sports, an ejection (also known as dismissal, sending-off, disqualification, or early shower) is the removal of a participant from a contest due to a violation of the sport's rules. The exact violations that lead to an ejection vary depending upon the sport, but common causes for ejection include unsportsmanlike conduct, violent acts against another participant that are beyond the sport's generally accepted standards for such acts, abuse against officials, violations of the sport's rules that the contest official deems to be egregious, or the use of an illegal substance to better a player's game. Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament.
