Magic Records Sp. z o.o., is a Polish record label founded in 1994 in Warsaw. Since 1998 label is a subsidiary of Universal Music Poland. Company CEO is Jan Kubicki. In 1990s label specialized in dance, techno and electronic music releasing albums by such artists as DJ'e TT, DR Marek, Exdance, I&I, MC Diva and Top One among others. In later years Magic Records expanded and has been releasing also pop artists such as Ewa Farna, Margaret and Honorata Skarbek among others. On various licences label released in Poland albums by such artists as Gordon Haskell, Andrea Corr, Vanilla Ninja, Volbeat, Alexander Rybak, Zaz, DJ BoBo and Basia among others. Universal Music Polska
Universal Music Polska Sp. z o.o. (Universal Music Poland), is a Polish subsidiary of Universal Music Group, it was founded in 1998 in Warsaw. Labels CEO is Maciej Kutak after Jan Kubicki's departure. Label was founded after PolyGram, within its Polish subsidiary was brought by Seagram and Universal Music Group was formed. UMP took over PolyGram Poland catalogue which included titles by such artists as Edyta Bartosiewicz, Renata Dąbkowska, Lidia Kopania, Kasia Kowalska and Sweet Noise among others. Although first albums under the label Universal Music Polska have been released in 1999. UMP catalogue includes also Izabelin Studio (founded in 1989) releases which have been originally brought by PolyGram Poland in 1994 which included titles by such artists as Kolaboranci, Big Day and Closterkeller among others. DJ BoBo
Peter René Baumann (born 5 January 1968), better known under his stage name DJ BoBo, is a Swiss singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, and music producer. He has sold 14 million records worldwide and has released 12 studio albums as well as several compilation albums which have included his previous hits in a reworked format. BoBo has also released 34 singles, some of which have charted high not only in German speaking countries, but also in other European territories. As a dance music producer, his first big success came with the single "Somebody Dance with Me", which borrows its melody from Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me". Queens (group)
Queens is a Polish girl trio formed in February 2005 by Polish Music Agency. The group is one of the best known girl bands in Poland. After a minor success with their debut album the group started touring, but illnesses caused several shows to be cancelled. The group was then recast, with only Monika Niedek remaining from the original members. The new lineup's first single, "We Are The Queens", was finally released in early 2007, but the song didn't gain much success. A bit later, when the video was recorded, Queens did a short promotional campaign and decided to take a short break. After the break, both the whole group and the Polish Music Agency decided to remix and re-release the last single. Urszula Kasprzak
Urszula Beata Kasprzak, usually known simply as Urszula, (born 7 February 1960 in Lublin, Poland) is a Polish pop and rock singer and also a piano player and accordionist. She recorded 15 albums, her music was used in TV and cinema films, and she acted in several films herself. She gained popularity in Poland especially after recording music with the Polish rock band Budka Suflera Budka Suflera (, " prompter's box") was a Polish rock band which was started in 1969 in Lublin by Krzysztof Cugowski. Szymon Wydra
Szymon Wydra (; born March 11, 1976 in Radom) is a Polish rock vocalist, poet and finalist on the first edition of Polish ''Idol''. He is also a vocalist of Carpe Diem. Career Wydra's first music band, ''Nadzieja'' (''Hope''), existed for two years and played punk rock. He has been vocalist and leader of his own band, Szymon Wydra & Carpe Diem, since 1992. He took part in a popular Polish TV show '' Szansa na sukces'' (''Chance for success'') in 2001 and achieved respect but was not the winner. He performed again in the same show in February of the following year, singing a song by Ryszard Rynkowski and being chosen by him as the winning participant. Piotr Rubik
Piotr Rubik (Polish pronunciation: ; born 3 September 1968 in Warsaw) is a Polish composer of symphonic music, symphonic pop music for orchestra, film and theatre as well as conductor (music), conductor, music producer and vocalist. He gained nationwide popularity in the mid-2000s with the success of his songs ''Niech mówią, że to nie jest miłość'' (2005) and ''Psalm dla Ciebie'' (2006). Marta Katarzyna Wiktoria Wiśniewska, professionally known as Mandaryna, born Marta Mandrykiewicz on 12 March 1978 in Łódź, Poland, is a Polish singer, dancer and actress. She rose to fame as the dancer of Polish pop group Ich Troje, and the partner of its leader, Michał Wiśniewski. Blog 27 was a Polish Musical ensemble, musical group founded in 2005 by two teenage vocalists Tola Szlagowska and Ala Boratyn performing pop music with elements of pop punk and pop rock. The duo's debut album, ''LOL (Blog 27 album), LOL'' (2005), was certified Music recording certification, double platinum in Poland and also achieved moderate success in Western Europe and Japan.
