Madson Ferreira dos Santos (born 13 January 1992), simply known as Madson (), is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a right back for Athletico Paranaense. Club career Bahia Madson was born in Itaparica, Bahia, and joined Bahia's youth setup in 2010. He made his first team debut on 30 January of the following year, starting in a 2–1 Campeonato Baiano home loss against Fluminense de Feira. Definitely promoted to the main squad for the 2012 season, Madson featured regularly for the club during the year's state league, and renewed his contract until 2015 on 2 May. However, he subsequently suffered an injury which kept him out for four months, and only made his Série A debut on 23 September by starting in a 3–1 loss at Internacional. Regularly used in 2013, Madson lost space in the following season, and was loaned to Série B side ABC on 17 May 2014, until the end of the year. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B is commonly referred to as the Brasileirão Série B (Série B), and until 2022 was officially called Brasileirão Sportingbet by sponsorship reasons. Football At The 2011 Pan American Games – Men's Tournament
The men's association football tournament at the 2011 Pan American Games was held in Guadalajara, Mexico at the Omnilife Stadium from October 19 to 28, 2011. Associations affiliated with FIFA were invited to send their men's U-22 national teams, with 3 no-age-limit players per team allowed. Ecuador were the defending champions from the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, defeating Jamaica 2–1, but they were eliminated during the group stage. For these Games, the men competed in an eight-team tournament, which is a drop from 12 at the 2007 games. Preliminary matches commenced on October 19. The teams were grouped into two pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The top two teams in each pool advanced to a four-team single-elimination bracket. Ney Franco
Ney Franco da Silveira Júnior (born 22 July 1966), known as Ney Franco, is a Brazilian football manager. Career Born in Vargem Alegre, Minas Gerais, Franco worked in Atlético Mineiro and Cruzeiro's youth categories before being named the latter's interim manager on three occasions, one in 2002 and two in 2004. Ahead of the 2005 campaign, he was appointed manager of Ipatinga as the club agreed to a partnership deal with Cruzeiro, and lifted the year's Campeonato Mineiro.
