Mads Bødker (born August 31, 1987) is a retired Danish professional ice hockey defenceman who lastly played for SønderjyskE of the Danish Metal Ligaen. He has played three seasons with Rødovre Mighty Bulls of the Danish top league AL-Bank Ligaen, as well as participated in seven Ice Hockey World Championships as a member of the Denmark men's national ice hockey team. The Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). First officially held at the 1920 Summer Olympics, it is the sport's highest profile annual international tournament. The IIHF was created in 1908 while the European Championships, the precursor to the World Championships, were first held in 1910. The tournament held at the 1920 Summer Olympics is recognized as the first Ice Hockey World Championship. Rødovre Mighty Bulls Players
Rødovre is a town in eastern Denmark, seat of the Rødovre Municipality, in the Region Hovedstaden. Mikkel Bødker
Mikkel Bødker (surname alternately spelled Boedker; born 16 December 1989), is a Danish professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was selected eighth overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, making him the highest-ever drafted Danish player. He also features on the cover of the video game ''NHL 10'' in Denmark and Norway. Playing career Bødker was brought up in the highly regarded youth hockey program of Rødovre SIK. In 2005, at the age of 15, he moved to Frölunda HC in Sweden, where he played on Frölunda's junior team. He had an impressive 2006–07 season with 49 points (19 goals and 30 assists) in 39 games. The team won the national junior championships, and Bødker also made his debut with the men's team in the Swedish Elite League. The Danish national men's ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team for Denmark. The team is controlled by Danmarks Ishockey Union. It was founded in 1949, and as of 2022, the Danish team was ranked 10th in the IIHF World Rankings. Denmark currently has 4,255 players (0.07% of its population). The name of the league has changed many times, but is being sponsored by Dansk Metal and therefore got the name Metalligaen. Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from Goal (ice hockey), scoring.
