Madinah Metro
The Medina Metro or Madinah Metro is a planned three-line metro system for the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia. Planning On 4 November 2013 the Saudi cabinet announced that a metro would be built in Madinah within eight years. A committee for the project was to be chaired by the Governor of Medina, Prince Faisal bin Salman. In March 2015 the Madinah Metro Development Authority (MMDA) awarded French companies Systra (consortium leader) and Egis Group a 12-month contract to carry out feasibility studies and produce preliminary design for the metro. Faisal Bin Salman
Faisal bin Salman Al Saud ( ar, فيصل بن سلمان آل سعود ''Fayṣal bin Salmān Āl Suʿūd''; born 25 December 1970) is a member of the House of Saud and governor of Madinah province in Saudi Arabia. Early life and education Prince Faisal was born in Riyadh on 25 December 1970. He is the fifth son of Salman bin Abdulaziz, the King of Saudi Arabia. His mother is Sultana bint Turki Al Sudairi, who died in July 2011. She was a daughter of King Salman's uncle, Turki bin Ahmed Al Sudairi, who was formerly the governor of Asir Province. Jeddah Metro
The Jeddah Metro is a planned metro system in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Several lines will be built over the course of at least five years that will eventually aim to increase public transport commuter share to 30% from the current 1 to 2 percent. Planning The metro was approved in March 2013. SYSTRA was chosen as the project engineer in 2014. It should be completed in 2020. Completion has been pushed back to 2025. Makkah Metro
The Mecca Metro or Makkah Metro is a metro system with four planned lines in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The Metro was constructed by China Railway Construction Corporation and is run by Mecca Mass Rail Transit Company (MMRTC). The metro forms part of the 62-billion-riyal Mecca Public Transport Programe (MPTP), which will include integrated bus services. The four new metro lines will be in addition to the existing Al Mashaer Al Mugaddassah Metro line: 18.1 km, connecting Mecca, Arafat, Muzdalifa, and Mina opened in November 2010. Many people utilize the Mecca Metro during the Hajj. The price for the metro is 250 riyals, with prices lowering to 100 riyals if traveling on the last day of Hajj. The Riyadh Metro ( ar, قطار الرياض ', ) is a rapid transit system under construction in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. It is part of the King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport and will consist of six metro lines spanning a total length of 176 kilometers, with 85 stations.
