Mad Locust Rising
''Mad Locust Rising'' is an EP by the American heavy metal band Agent Steel, released in January 1986 by Combat Records. It was recorded at Indigo Ranch Studios in October 1985 in Malibu, California. The EP features a cover of the Judas Priest song " The Ripper". It is also included on the 1999 reissue of the 1987 album ''Unstoppable Force''. Former bassist Mike Zaputil is credited on the album, but the bass tracks were actually recorded by George Robb, who was then fired after the recordings, while Zaputil joined in early 1986 from Letchen Grey. Agent Steel
Agent Steel is an American speed metal band from Los Angeles, formed in 1984 by vocalist John Cyriis with drummer Chuck Profus. The band released two full-length albums and one EP before disbanding in 1988. They were most notable for Cyriis' high-pitched vocals, catchy songs, melodic riffs, and fast tempos mixed in with interest in UFOs. Agent Steel reformed in 1998 (without Cyriis, although he would return to the band in 2010, only to leave again in 2011) and released three more full-length albums before going on hiatus in 2011. The band reformed again in 2018, this time with Cyriis returning as the vocalist and without any previous members (including longtime guitarist Juan Garcia, who is now in Evildead and Body Count); under this new lineup, Agent Steel released their first studio album in 14 years (and their first one in 34 years to feature Cyriis), ''No Other Godz Before Me'', in 2021. Juan Garcia (guitarist)
Juan Garcia (born November 24, 1963) is a Cuban-American guitarist. He is perhaps best known as the guitarist for the thrash metal bands Agent Steel and Evildead and the power metal/speed metal band Abattoir. Garcia is also the rhythm guitarist of Body Count. Biography In 1982, Garcia joined the newly formed heavy metal band Abattoir along with bassist Mel Sanchez, guitarist Mark Caro, drummer Ron Gonzales, and vocalist Chris Maleki. He played on the band's early demos 'Abattoir (1983)' and 'Demo 1984' (1984); He also performed on the debut Abattoir 'Vicious Attack' Lp released on Combat Records before leaving the band in October 1984 to join Agent Steel. Speed metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that originated in the late 1970s from new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM) roots.K. ''Sad Wings of Destiny'' is the second studio album by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released on 23 March 1976 by Gull Records. It is considered the album on which Judas Priest consolidated their sound and image, and songs from it such as " Victim of Changes" and "The Ripper" have since become live standards. It was the band's only album to feature drummer Alan Moore.
