Machinae Supremacy
Machinae Supremacy is a Swedish/Finnish band that combines modern Heavy metal music, heavy metal, power metal and alternative rock with chiptunes. Self-defined as "SID metal", many of their songs use a SidStation that features the MOS Technology SID, SID chip of the Commodore 64. They have released 32 original recordings for free download on their site, with approximately 100,000 downloads a month. ''Deus Ex Machinae (album), Deus Ex Machinae'', the band's first commercial album was released in 2004 through the independent (and now defunct) MbD Records UK. Luleå
Luleå ( , , locally ; smj, Luleju; fi, Luulaja) is a city on the coast of northern Sweden, and the capital of Norrbotten County, the northernmost county in Sweden. ''Into the Night World'' is the seventh album by the Swedish metal band Machinae Supremacy, which was released on 16 December 2016. The penultimate track "SID Metal Legacy" is a remix of a short instrumental song originally recorded for a YouTube video celebrating the band's 15-year anniversary. Soho
Soho is an area of the City of Westminster, part of the West End of London. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. Chris Hülsbeck
Christopher Hülsbeck (born 2 March 1968), known internationally as Chris Huelsbeck, is a German video game music composer. He gained popularity for his work on game soundtracks for ''The Great Giana Sisters'' and the ''Turrican'' series. Career Huelsbeck's music career started at age 17, when he entered a music competition in the German ''64'er'' magazine, taking first prize with his composition "Shades". He took a job in music production with the company Rainbow Arts. In 1986, Huelsbeck released the ''SoundMonitor'' program for Commodore 64 computer. The program was released as a type-in listing in the German computer magazine ''64'er''. This program, featuring the idea of notation data rolling from down to up, is assumed to have a significant influence on Karsten Obarski's Ultimate Soundtracker (1987) which was a starting point for the still continuing tradition of tracker music programs. Great Giana Sisters
''The Great Giana Sisters'' is a 1987 platform game developed by German studio Time Warp Productions and published by Rainbow Arts. The scroll screen melody of the game was composed by Chris Huelsbeck and is a popular Commodore 64 soundtrack. The game is heavily based on Nintendo's ''Super Mario Bros.'' (1985), which led to production being stopped shortly after release, but it later inspired a number of sequels. Vorbis is a free and open-source software project headed by the Xiph.Org Foundation. The project produces an audio coding format and software reference encoder/decoder (codec) for lossy audio compression. Vorbis is most commonly used in conjunction with the Ogg container format and it is therefore often referred to as Ogg Vorbis. Vorbis is a continuation of audio compression development started in 1993 by Chris Montgomery.
