The North Macedonia women's national football team represents North Macedonia in international women's association football. The team is controlled by the Football Federation of Macedonia, the governing body for football in the country. History They are currently coached by Kiril Izov. The North Macedonia women's team find themselves ranked 129th out of 159 active women's footballing nations registered with FIFA. The women's team played their first official game on 7 May 2005, in which they were beaten 4–0 by Croatia women's national football team, Croatia. Two weeks later, on 21 May 2005, Macedonia scored their first ever goal in a 7–1 loss to Slovenia women's national football team, Slovenia. The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM; mk, Фудбалска Федерација на Македонија, ФФМ; sq, Federata e Futbollit të Maqedonisë) or Football Federation of North Macedonia is the governing body of football in North Macedonia based in Skopje. History FFM was officially formed after the establishment of then SR Macedonia as part of SFR Yugoslavia, following World War II on 14 August 1949 in Skopje (after the end of World War II, the first football department was established as a part of the sport association of the city of Skopje, the football section was separated on 16 August 1948). Kumanovo
Kumanovo ( mk, Куманово ; also known by other alternative names) is a city in North Macedonia and the seat of Kumanovo Municipality, the largest municipality in the country. Kumanovo lies above sea level and is surrounded by the Karadag part of Skopska Crna Gora mountain on its western side, Gradištanska mountain on its southern side, and Mangovica and German mountain on the Eastern side. Skopje airport also serves Kumanovo. It has many historical sites. One of the most important sites is the 4,000-year-old megalithic astronomical observatory of Kokino, located northeast of Kumanovo and discovered in 2001. It is ranked fourth on the list of old observatories by NASA. In 1912, during the First Balkan War, Serbian forces won a decisive victory over the Ottomans north of the town.
